Minnesota Power Continues to Move Away from Coal, Shutting Down Two More Coal Generators

Minnesota Power announced Wednesday that it will shut down two more of its coal-fired electrical generators, Boswell Units 1 and 2 in Cohasset, by the end of 2018 as the utility continues its move away from coal.
Minnesota Power’s goal is to eventually produce about one-third of its electricity from natural gas, one-third from renewable sources and one-third from coal.
